The durable rubber tank-like treads on the Mobile Stairlift allow
for use on nearly any stair surface, and the large capacity recharchable battery
meant that we were no longer limited by access to a power outlet (or even a
building for that matter!).

what happens when the person pulling the patient trips while walking backwards up the stairs OR trying to place their foot on the step going down and trips due to the large frame? Got to be honest, this doesn't look much safer, just easier for weaker people to pull. Did you add a way to lock the tracks so they can only go one direction when going up but can unlock to go down?
This chair will not move unless the caregiver pushes the up or down button, so if they need to stop on the stairs, it's very safe. They also are not pulling or pushing at all - the motor does all that lifting work. The wheels do lock, and there are added safety features like safety belts and extendable handlebars underneath so that a second person can stand in front of the patient and assist.

Yes! The carpet should just be glued or stapled down.

This is a battery powered unit
Is this not heavy to pull down and up?
The motor does all the lifting work, so the caregiver does not have to pull at all. They simply apply downward pressure to the handlebar to keep the tracks against the steps

It cannot, you would need a caregiver
You know...I am (Thankfully) fully Mobile. I wanted to look into something like this, however, instead of a hand truck, to clean out the boxes of junk from my basement. I know that their are motorized hand trucks, Too.

I have one and love it. Moved three refrigerators up and down stairs. Setting item on the dolly takes a second to lift and the dolly does the rest of the work so its a small price to pay.

What would be really awesome is if this lift had regular wheelchair wheels so that the patient could use it for self-transport on level ground or if it had motorized wheels like other handicapped scooters making it a mobility scooter with assisted stairlift capabilities. I would buy this in a heartbeat with that feature.

All the row homes in the city of Philadelphia PA has stair not one has a ramp nor fire escape ladder for 2 or 3 floor in case of emergency I doubt that this will be covered by Medicare
